Creamy or gooey, nutty or earthy: however you prefer your cheese, the 6th Annual Cheese Fest Atlanta offered the perfect opportunity to try out a wide variety of artisan cheeses alongside their ideal pairings. Held on Friday, September 28th at Historic Fourth Ward Park, this celebration of all things cheese featured more than 100 small-batch producers showcasing their finest creations, with free samples and the chance to purchase favorites.
To complement the cheese, VIP ticket holders had the opportunity to sit and enjoy their cheese samples paired with wine, beer and champagne. For the first time this year, festival attendees also had the chance to try additional pairing suggestions: “Olives Galore!” coupled olives and wine while “A Pig and a Pint” paired cured meats with craft beer.
In addition to unlimited cheese samples and food and beverage pairings, the festival provided attendees with the chance to try delicious dishes from local restaurants and vote on their favorites in the Cheese Fest’s Meltdown Competition–all while listening to live music from singer-songwriter Rachel Baiman.
All event proceeds went to support The Giving Kitchen, an Atlanta-based nonprofit that provides financial and community assistance to restaurant workers.
