Four-Day Wine Fest on South Walton Beaches Raises Money for Area Children’s Charities
Four days dedicated to celebrating wine. Sound like a good time to you? Then the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival should go on your must-do list next spring.
This beachy locale becomes the epicenter of the wine world every single year during the last weekend of April, and the best part—proceeds benefit children in need! Proceeds from the festival benefit Wine Auction Foundation, which was named a Top 10 Wine Charity Auction by Wine Spectator magazine.
An impressive roster of celebrity winemakers, distillers, chefs, brew-masters, and entertainers came to South Walton, Florida, (near Destin in the panhandle) on April 26-29, 2018, to wine, dine, educate, and entertain guests as part of the wine celebration.
Attendees gathered throughout the Town Center of Grand Boulevard at Sandestin, where they enjoyed Spirits Row, Rosé All Day Garden, Savor South Walton Culinary Village, Nosh Pavilions, Tasting Seminars, Craft Beer & Spirits Jam, and live entertainment. Of course, since the event lasted over four days, more than 800 wines were poured by wine industry insiders. For oenophiles, though, there is no such thing as too much vino.
To round off the event with even more good deeds, the Destin Charity Wine Auction (DCWA) also took place on Saturday during the festival. More than 500 guests got the chance to bid on luxury travel packages, collectible wines, and other fine-living items. These proceeds went towards more than a dozen children’s charities in Northwest Florida!
If you like drinking wine and doing good, the South Walton Wine & Food Festival is the place to be for Spring.
